Live Action Batman Show’s Characters, Sets, and Costumes Revealed!

1

Hot on the heels of the much-hyped-turned-disastrous Spiderman Musical comes Batman Live, a live arena show (not a musical) featuring stunts, pyrotechnics, illusions and video screen sequences. We have a full run down of the show’s premise, which focuses on Robin’s rise as a vigilante and the relationship he builds with Batman, becoming Batman and Robin. We also have a look at sets and costumes, as well as a full list of characters featured in the arena tour!

[Batman Live] will focus on the story of young Dick Grayson (Robin), a circus performer who loses his parents to organised crime.

Faithfully adapted from the DC Comics characters and stories, Batman Live focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero, the mysterious vigilante known as the Batman – much to the dismay of his protective guardian, millionaire Bruce Wayne – who secretly happens to be Batman.

The show’s characters have been announced and include the following: Batman/Bryce Wayne, Robin/Dick Grayson, Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, The Penguin, and Poison Ivy. Quite a full cast of vigilantes and villains!

The show’s cast and crew recently premiered the costumes and sets from the upcoming arena tour and we must say we’re impressed. We’ve come to expect cheesy-looking costumes from live tours, but it looks like the show’s producers have put a lot of time and effort into bringing this Batman adaptation to life! Batman Live starts touring the UK this July and plans to bring the show to the USA some time in 2012.
