The opening scene from the eighth and final Harry Potter film — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 — has hit the web! The scene has been making the rounds on various blogs and fansites before ending up on Youtube (embedded below) and was taken from the Deathly Hallows Part 1 DVD release, which also features deleted scenes from the first part of Deathly Hallows.

Spoilers ahead!

The first scene of the eighth movie picks up exactly where the seventh left off: Harry, Ron, and Hermione are still staying at Shell Cottage. The scene opens with Harry visiting Dobby’s grave overlooking the beach and quickly cuts to Harry sitting on a bed across from a weathered Olivander, still recovering from his imprisonment at the Malfoy’s mansion. The two discuss the Hallows, with Ron and Hermione looking on in the background. Olivander attempts to lie about what he told Voldemort regarding the Elder Wand, but Harry reveals that he knows Olivander fed Voldemort rumors surrounding the wand’s possible whereabouts and also informs the wandmaker that Voldemort now has the wand. The scene ends with Harry getting up and exiting the room, followed by Ron and Hermione, but not before Olivander warns Harry that he no longer stands a chance against Voldemort. Harry proclaims that he’ll have to kill Voldemort before the evil wizard finds him. The scene then ends.

Warner Brothers has removed the video footage of the opening scene. Refer to our above notes for a detailed summary of what you’ve missed!
