Rowling at BAFTAs: Writing “Several Things” at Once

JK Rowling and representatives from the crew of the Harry Potter film franchise attended the recent 2011 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award show, where they were presented with a Honorary BAFTA award for their achievements with the Harry Potter film franchise over the past decade.

During the award show’s pre-show red carpet coverage, JK Rowling was interviewed by the BBC and took some time to discuss her current projects, stating:

“I don’t know when you’ll get to read it. I’ve got several things going on at once. So it’s hard to know which’ll be the first to actually appear in print, but yeah, I’m writing hard.”

The author made no mention of when to expect these projects to be announced or even published, but it’s been nearly four years since her last work was introduced to the world, so we may be in for a surprise some time soon! Rowling has been teasing fans with an author-written guide to the world of Potter since the release of the final Harry Potter novel, but has made no mention of when fans can expect the guide to hit stores.
