2

NBC, the studio who recently acquired the rights to the Wonder Woman reboot after the went through multiple rounds of denial with the major TV studios, has finally announced who will play their leading lady: Adrianne Palicki, best known for her role on Friday Night Lights. Palicki’s depiction of Wonder Woman will follow on the heels of Lynda Carter, who famously portrayed the female superhero in the original Wonder Woman series from the 70s.

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

David E. Kelley (of Boston Legal and Ally McBeal fame) is leading production of the show’s pilot.
