The Spider-Man reboot, set to hit theaters in July 2012 after some major set-backs and shakeups, is set to be taking Spider-Man back to his roots. The story will feature Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker as he works to hone his Spider-Man abilities while still in high school.  Emma Stone, best known for her roles in Superbad, Zombieland, and Easy A, has been cast to play Gwen Stacy, one of Peter Parker’s early high school love interests. The movie’s main supervillain, Lizard, will be played by Rhys Ifans (Xenophilius Lovegood in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie). Marc Webb, best known for his work on (500) Days of Summer, is directing the reboot.
