When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

X-Men: First Class

This film is a prequel to the first three.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

The film will star James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw). It is directed by Matthew Vaughn.  It is set to release June 3rd.

Unfortunately, there has been no official trailer release for this film.

Super 8

The plot of this movie is being kept a secret by director J.J. Abrams because he wants the film to remain a mystery and let the images speak for themselves.  The only details that have been confirmed by Abrams is that it will take place in 1979 and it is basically a tribute to Steven Spielberg’s 70′s and 80′s science fiction films.  The film stars Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler and Amanda Michalka.  It is set to release June 10th.

The Green Lantern

This film is based off the DC Comic superhero known as The Green Lantern.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

        You are a traitor!

        • blah blah

          agreed

    • blah blah

are you kidding me? what makes you now want to see thor? and greeen lantern? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? i’m not even gonna talk about harry potter which is without a doubt one of the best movie series adaptations of a book series ever, unlike any of the dan brown movie adaptations and for god’s sake the eragon movie. at lease you like transformers and pirates of the caribbean, i just can’t get over how you’d rather see cowboys and aliens over thor…

      • blah blah

        *not want to see thor

      • http://www.twitter.com/mikemacauley Mike Macauley

        Personal preference?

        • blah blah

yea, you’re right…its just i feel like thor and green lantern are gonna be pretty intense as most super hero movies are especially given the big name casts in both…thats usually a good sign that a movie will be worth it. like i said, that’s usually the case and i could be wrong. and i’ll always defend harry potter as a fan who loves to see my favorite books hit the big screen.

p.s. the inheritance almanac is awesome man

I totally agree with you I myself am a huge Marvel fan and understand some of their adaptations have been rocky, such as Spider-man, but they are rebooting it which looks like it is carrying a great deal of potential. Now, Thor looks like it is going to put Marvel back on track where they should be. As for Green Lantern, well I believe for the most part that DC has been adapting fairly well, except for the first reboot of Superman which Snyder will probably succeed in making a good reboot. As you have said I will always defend Harry Potter because it’s a phenomenal series book through movies. Ghilton passes on Thor, but not Captain America, well let me tell you as for both of them being a part of the Avengers Thor is living up to his story more from watching the preview and looking at screenshots. Don’t take his comments to heart blah blah, he is a joke with his critic opinions.

    Ugh. Twilight. *barfs*

  • Jackamamma

How about warhorse? why isn’t anyone mentioning this epic movie?

  • Cursedsight33

Ghilton001…… EVEN if J.K. Rowling had written a slightly mediocre series of books those movies would still be amazing. They are a prime and documented example of how book to movie films should be made. They follow very closely with the books, all the characters are extremely well cast and well performed. The story is suspenseful and engaging. With that said the books are Amazing and a good portion of the world would back that statement up which makes the movies a huge success. Please consider your words a little more carefully. BUT i agree whole heartedly with you on twilight and thor.
