Nolan Confirms “Inception” Video Game Adaptation

Rumors of a video game follow-up to the 2010 mind-bending blockbuster Inception have been floating around for ages. Today, Inception writer/director/producer Christopher Nolan (of The Dark Knight fame) confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the game is officially in development.

From EW’s interview with the creator:

“I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place,” says Nolan. “At the moment, the only direction we’re channeling that is by developing a videogame set in the world.”

No specifics were offered on the game type or release date. Paying attention to his word choice — “a world where a lot of other stories could take place” – could Nolan be hinting at an Inception MMORPG? Time will tell!

Nolan would not comment on a possible sequel to the movie (please?), and has a good laugh at the folks who expect him to answer the burning question left in everyone’s mind after the movie’s close.
